Kosin store tv projector

I was having real problems with connecting my macbook unibody to my panasonic viera 42" tv at 1080p. I was getting black lines down either side of the tv and all the playing about with it didn't seem to solve the issue, that was until I found that turning overscan off on the tv and leaving overscan checked on the mac fixed the problem!!! Well happy, I hope it helps other people that may be experiencing the same issue :-)
