A web camera can be used to analyze a projected area to find bright red spots and use them as an input method. Here I demonstrate my setup at home; I use the laser pointer to control a presentation and browse the web. This can be implemented with a simple web camera and laser pointer and can be used as a simple mouse emulator, or as a different kind of input device with different abilities. It has broad applications, from games to business.
