postheadericon Summary of "Revolutionary Girl Utena"

Summary of "Revolutionary Girl Utena" Video Clips. Duration : 3.98 Mins.

Someone once told me, "If you want to understand the whole story of Utena, watch all of the Opening and closing themes, they weren't there just for music.." And she was right! Also, notable is watch "Adolescence of Utena", the movie of the TV Series to understand things better. Much of the series -- arguably, in a way the entire series -- revolves around the transition between childhood and adulthood, and all that implies, notably development of sexual feelings and identity and the loss of "innocence." Most of the characters are estranged from a loved one in their childhood, something which affects them deeply and arguably stunts them, and this relationship is often complicated or corrupted by a sexual element. If you guys think the ending is sad.. EHHHH!! WRONG!! Here: forums.ohtori.nu Discussions about the last ending, what it meant.. For Lyrics, go to: www.animelyrics.com (Or look at my other Utena Videos) The whole lyrics is the key: (I'll just mention some) 1ST SONG, OPENING THEME: "Every Time I see that photo of us smiling, standing cheek to cheek" ~Last Episode. last scene.. n_n 3RD SONG, 2ND ENDING THEME: All astronomy/star stuff are for Akio's observatory room.. "A single perpetual machine" ~Akio's projector/telescope are but one of the same "Ah, it is empty motion" "Just empty motion, that's what it is" ~Everything is just a pigment of imagination.. (castle, horses, prince, princess, witch, etc.) For more details about the last 3 episode and some of the songs ...
